The gemstone influenced all the design decisions in this necklace. The tiny tree is naturally formed inside the agate stone. I volunteered in my son's grade three class and did a gemstone presentation to go along with there rock and mineral unit in science. The students were fascinated by these little dendritic gemstones and asked if I painted the scenes myself. My answer to them was no - but God did!

I wanted to create something extra special with this unique gemstone. The silver asymmetrical tree branch, the water cast bloom and white freshwater pearls are all designed to compliment the stone.

This pendant is one of a kind, handmade in solid sterling silver. The chain is permanently attached to the pendant and is adjustable between 17” and 20.”

Dendritic Agate Tree Branch Necklace // One of a Kind

  • ♢ Dendritic Agate gemstone bezel set with an open back setting to let the light shine in.

♢ Three white freshwater pearls are also included in this piece.

♢ Recycled sterling silver and Argentium silver (.925 and .935)

♢ Completely hand constructed with a tiny water cast cup to create the flower that holds the pearl.

♢ I apply a dark patina to the recessed areas of the pendant. The high points are polished to a bright shine, creating a beautiful contrast. This contrast between dark and light is what sterling silver is famous for!

♢ The process of creating is slow and intentional, I use traditional metalsmithing tools and processes alongside modern ones to create all my pieces by hand. My heart goes into every single piece I design.
