This one of a kind Rose Bud necklace is the perfect size to wear as an everyday necklace.
 
To create the little rose I hand sculpted each petal to create a little opening bloom out of sterling silver precious metal clay. The metal clay is just like clay - tiny silver particles are mixed with an organic binder. When the rose is fired in my kiln at 1500℉, the organic binder burns away and the silver particles fuse together to create a mini solid sterling silver sculpture.
 
I finished the pendant using traditional metalsmithing techniques.
 
The 16" link and bar chain is permanently attached to each little leaf and the total length of the necklace is 17". As an added bonus the clasp always stays at the back and out of sight.
