Like a wearable garden this sculptural necklace features my own hand carved tiny flowers and leaves. One of a kind and handcrafted in solid sterling silver this is unique piece of art jewellery!
Chrysoprase Garden Necklace // One of a Kind
♢ .925 sterling silver and .935 argentium sterling silver.
♢ The tiny flowers and leaves are created using metal clay, which is made up of tiny recycled sterling silver particles mixed with an organic, clay-like binder. It can be sculpted, molded, and formed however I want. Once the designs are completely dry, they go into my kiln for a two part firing process. The clay reaches 1500℉ for about an hour, during which the organic binder burns away, leaving behind a solid sterling silver mini sculpture. See if you can spot the little X shaped flower beside the gemstone - that is actually the top of a poppy seed pod I have molded from my own backyard garden.
♢ I use these tiny flowers and leaves as components and arrange a composition, much like arrange a bouquet of fresh cut flowers, and use traditional metalsmithing techniques to create the pendant. It is completely constructed by hand and one of a kind - meaning it is not molded or cast.... no one else will have one like it!
♢ I apply a dark patina to the recessed areas of the pendant and the high points are polished to a bright shine, creating a beautiful contrast. This contrast between dark and light is what sterling silver is famous for!
♢ The gemstone is a oval chrysoprase cabochon, bezel set The back is smooth stamped 925 with a my trademarked MP signature stamp as well.
♢ The process of creating is slow and intentional, I use traditional metalsmithing tools and processes alongside modern ones to create all my pieces by hand. My heart goes into every single piece I design.
♢ The Rose is probably the most popular flower in all of history. It universally represents love and passion.
♢ Gardening is my biggest inspiration—it pulls me in with all its little details and layers of meaning that seem to bloom everywhere. As a metalsmith and jewellery designer, I love taking those moments and turning them into something lasting, like sterling silver. Unlike flowers, jewellery doesn’t fade, and each piece becomes its own tiny treasure box, holding memories forever.

♢ The pendant measures 4.4 cm wide, 1.5 cm tall. It is attached to the chain with soldered jump rings, and the chain is adjustable at 20", 19", 18", and 16"

♢ This item is all ready made and ready to ship, I will get it in the mail within 1-3 business days.
♢ I securely package all my jewellery in thin cardboard jewellery boxes, placed inside of a padded envelope or larger box for shipping.
