This little art necklace feels like the fall season in miniature. Handmade in solid 925 sterling silver, it features tiny oak leaves and acorns gathered around a freeform orange goldstone cabochon, which sparkles like crazy in the sunlight!

The silver has been given a dark patina to bring out all the tiny details and give the piece contrast. Attached to an adjustable chain, it can be worn at just the right length.

With this piece I tried to capture what I love about Autumn- sunny days with a crispness in the air, colorful falling leaves, and little treasures gathered from walks spent in nature.

♢ .925 sterling silver and .935 Argentium sterling silver.

♢ The orange stone is a free form goldstone cabochon, which is a man made gemstone made up of silica mixed and melted with tiny copper particles. The copper gives it that rich orange color and a crazy amount of really amazing sparkle. The back is smooth stamped 925 with a my trademarked MP signature stamp as well.

♢ I apply a dark patina to the recessed areas of the pendant and the high points are polished to a bright shine, creating a beautiful contrast. This contrast between dark and light is what sterling silver is famous for!

♢ The process of creating is slow and intentional, I use traditional metalsmithing tools and processes alongside modern ones to create all my pieces by hand. My heart goes into every single piece I design.
♢ Oak trees are full of symbolism throughout history have been used to symbolize strength, endurance and wisdom.

♢ Gardening is my biggest inspiration—it pulls me in with all its little details and layers of meaning that seem to bloom everywhere. As a metalsmith and jewellery designer, I love taking those moments and turning them into something lasting, like sterling silver. Unlike flowers, jewellery doesn’t fade, and each piece becomes its own tiny treasure box, holding memories forever.
