I am captivated by the natural world and all the little details found in the garden. This one of a kind botanical necklace is like a little bouquet of flowers to treasure and wear wherever you go. Each of my jewellery pieces is designed with thought and intention and I designed this in solid sterling silver to reflect the beauty found all around me.

With a horizontal design, this floral pendant is permanently attached to the 17" chain, I love that the clasp will never end up at the front! There are two freshwater pearls (one at the front and one on the clasp) that add that extra special touch.

  • ♢ Solid sterling silver (100% recycled)

♢ The delicate flower and leaves are created using sterling silver metal clay, which is made up of tiny recycled sterling silver metal particles mixed with and organic clay like binder. It can be sculpted, molded, and formed however I want. For this design I have hand sculpted each little leaf, carving in the details. I have a little mold that I press the clay into to create the flower and hand finish. After the designs dry 100% into my kiln it goes for a two-part firing process. The clay reaches 1500℉ for about an hour and the organic binder burns completely away leaving tiny sterling silver sculptures.

♢ I have combined the little sterling silver flower and leaves with a fused Argentium spheres (dew drops) and vines to create the little lasting bouquet. Each piece is thoughtfully placed and soldered onto a backplate, which is polished smooth on the back. The back is stamped with 925 and my trademarked MP signature.

♢ I finish the pendant with traditional metalsmithing techniques and solder on solid sterling silver posts.

♢ I apply a dark patina to the recessed areas of each rose, and the earrings go into my tumbler with steel shot to harden and polish the surface. The high points are polished to a bright shine, creating a beautiful contrast. This contrast between dark and light is what sterling silver is famous for!

♢ The two pearls are natural freshwater pearls, the front one has a slightly warmer tone. They are securely attached with the wire wrapping method using solid sterling silver.

♢ The process of creating is slow and intentional, I use traditional metalsmithing tools and processes alongside modern ones to create all my pieces by hand. My heart goes into every single piece I design.
