♢ Solid .925 sterling silver leaves, .935 Argentium sterling silver ear wires. White freshwater pearls.
♢ The little leaves are created in Metal clay, which is made up of tiny recycled sterling silver metal particles mixed with and organic clay like binder. It can be sculpted, molded, and formed however I want. For this design I used a real leaf from my garden to create a reusable mold and capture the gorgeous texture of the leaf. I press the clay into the mold and do some hand finishing. After the designs dry 100% into my kiln for a two-part firing process. The clay reaches 1500℉ for about an hour and the organic binder burns completely away leaving a solid sterling silver mini sculpture in its place.
♢ The ear wires are hand formed and hardened to keep their shape.
♢ The pearls are half drilled and securely attached to silver posts with jewellers epoxy. This gives the earrings a really clean and modern look since there is no metal poking out under the pearl.
