Handmade using solid sterling silver this succulent ring is perfect to wear on its own or stacking with another band (or two.) The delicate yet solid little flower sits on top of a hammer textured band. The ring has a rustic yet elegant feel to it.
This ring is created in a size 7, but if that’s not your size send me a message and I can custom make one for you.
Size 7 Flower Ring // One of a Kind
♢ Solid sterling silver (100% recycled)
♢ The succulent rose was created using sterling precious metal clay. It’s a really neat material that consists of tiny particles of sterling silver that are mixed with an organic binder. It acts just like clay - I can mold (like I’ve done here,) shape it and connect it with slip - just like real clay. After the designs dries 100% into my kiln it goes for a two-part firing process. The clay reaches 1500℉ for about an hour and the organic binder burns completely away leaving a solid sterling silver mini sculpture in its place.
♢ I created the band separately out of sterling wire and gave it a nice hammer texture. I love how the hammer texture catches the light! I soldered the two pieces together, using a post in the centre (half drilled through the succulent.) The last step for me was to polish and apply a dark patina to the succulent petals - just to bring out all the lovey details and make it really pop! This gorgeous contrast between dark and light and what sterling silver is famous for.
